WORKSHOPS
Specialised skill and general acro workshops are often held during school holidays in Central Christchurch and Marlborough. Workshops typically range from one hour to two hours long. These are some of the workshops we offer
Aerial Workshops
A specialised workshop for students wishing to learn a front or side aerial. Suitable for those with a solid handstand and cartwheel. Participants will be taught progressions and drills to help in achieving an aerial. A hands-on class that will involve spotting and the use of acrobatic tumbling belts.
Walkover Workshops
A specialised workshop for students wishing to learn or master their front & back walkovers. Suitable for those with a solid handstand and bridge. Participants will be taught progressions and drills to help in achieving walkovers. A hands-on class that will involve spotting and the use of acrobatic tumbling belts.
Partnering & Group Tricks
Acro and dance partner and group tricks varying from beginner to advanced level.
Handspring Workshops
A specialised workshop for students wishing to learn or improve front & back handsprings. Suitable for those with a solid handstand, front/back walkover ideal but not necessary. Participants will be taught progressions and drills to help in achieving handsprings. A hands-on class that will involve spotting and the use of acrobatic tumbling belts.
Tiny Tumblers
Play-based acro class suitable for 3-6-year-olds. This class will incorporate age-appropriate acro tricks, dance and games. Parents of younger children are welcome to stay for the duration.
Cartwheel Workshops
A specialised workshop for students wishing to learn or master their cartwheel. No prior skills are required for this session but pre-cartwheels are helpful. Participants will be taught progressions and drills to help in achieving cartwheels.
