Frequently Asked Questions
What Should My Child Wear?
We do not have a compulsory uniform so students are welcome to wear anything tight fitting that they can easily move in. Most students wear a leotard, singlet or top with shorts or tights. We do have optional uniform available for order too. If you would like to check out our options, please click below.
Can We Trial A Class Before Joining?
Absolutely! We offer trial classes at our casual rate of $20 per class, so you only pay for the class your child attends to see if it is the right fit. If your child trials in the first three weeks of the term and then enrols, the trial fee will be credited back on the term invoice. If the trial takes place after week three and your child decides to join, the remaining classes for the term will be invoiced at the casual rate.
What is the Difference Between Gymnastics and Acro?
While acro dance and gymnastics may look similar, they differ in purpose, training, and performance context. Gymnastics is defined as a sport, focused on achieving optimal technical execution and difficulty, whereas acro dance is considered an art, prioritising expression, musicality, and aesthetic presentation. Although both use similar skills, technique varies, with acro dance teachers adapting movements for stage performance rather than competitive scoring. The equipment also differs: gymnastics is performed on sprung floors designed for power and height, while acro dance is done on dance flooring that emphasises control, softer landings, and fluid, expressive movement.
